The babies were at the crib, while I was strapped to one of them to my back. Ha! It was all starting to take shape, however there was still a long way to go. It was going to take a lot of money effort and shopping my favorite to furnish this home. My three sons and me searched for hidden gems while attending estate sales in order to ensure that my spending was under control. It was a weekly tradition that we would walk through estate and garage sales on Fridays and Saturdays, purchasing a mix of new and old pieces. My next task was to spend my weekdays painting and sanding on our front lawn. The furniture I found looked like... This is when my desire to repair furniture was born. The issue was not whether our house had already been furnished. I also had a booth at the market, where I would sell objects. Eventually, I had too lots of pieces to keep in the available space. My house was transformed into a space in which I held open houses. Up to 1000 visitors could see the items on my first floor before purchasing the items. Growing Days is the result of all this. Not only was my business flourishing, but I was also growing my sweet family too. As a mom of a child I was able to strike the right way to be able to begin my own business and also become a great mother. Growing Days just fit. Nora my 4th child was born in 2013. I was thrilled with where my company was taking me, but I felt like I needed to take a breather. I took a pause from making vintage furniture, and also slowed my pace and stayed at home to raise the children. At the time, it was what I wanted. After a couple of months, the phone began to ring. Calls came in asking me for help with interior decor and home renovations. A majority of those calling me were people who had visited my home at one of my furniture open houses. It wasn't long before I managed a large-scale home renovation company. The first step was to take clients on one with a speed I felt confident in. If you had told me that my venture would end up being the premise for a DIY Network show, I likely would have been astonished. It's fun to reflect on the idea.
