Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports career at the age of 14. She was trained in boxing, kickboxing wrestling, and BJJ. She made her first amateur appearance at 18 at WCFC in a fight against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd took advantage of this win and began a 3 fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents within the first round of all fights. In WCFC Ladd was able to defeat Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia defeated Aspen and defeated her via an unanimous vote to remove an ominous mark on her amateur record. Ladd rebounded from the loss and defeated Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight one. Aspen was a professional when she entered the ranks in 2015. She joined Invicta FC and made her debut. She faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11 and dominated her to secure a first-round TKO. Invicta Fc 16 marked her first bout as a Bantamweight. She defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar during the second round. Aspen used the superior abilities she acquired in wrestling to take on McGill. She ended her bout via the TKO (3rd round) (elbows, punches). Aspen later fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, weighing weight of catchweight (138.1lb) As Ladd had missed weight. In spite of this, Aspen was able to take on Hoy. She won by KO in the 2nd round. Invicta FC, 21 was her final promotion bout. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks won by unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina by grounding and pounding her to the ground, gaining the TKO in second round. She repeated her dominance and picked up a more stunning victory in her next match against Tonya Evinger, who was fighting at UFC 229. Ladd defeated Evinger in the opening round and got an outstanding performance bonus. Sijara Eubanks from Invicta FC was her opponent in a rematch at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's debut major fight. Both fighters fought a close fight that Ladd won by unanimous decision. The two fighters each received an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd's winning streak within 16 seconds. After a break of a few seconds, she returned to finish Yana Kunizkaya during the UFC's ESPN 7 third-round fight. For a replacement last minute for her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. It was a unanimous decision in her favor.
